BAKER, - (Lieutenant-Colonel). Memoir of the Northern Frontier of Greece by…, Communicated to the Geographical Society, by… Printed for for private circulation, 1837.

This is an independent publication of an article that first appeared in the seventh volume of the "Journal of the Royal Geographical Society" and refers to the precise definition of the northern borders of the Greek State with the Ottoman Empire. The subject was of immediate interest to the British Government and the other Allies, France and Russia, and was more generally connected to the Eastern Question. The 31-page report, based partly on descriptions by travellers W. Gell, E. Dodwell and H. Holland, as well as on Colonel Lapie’s map and the texts of Pouqueville and W. M. Leake, defines precisely and with geographical details the frontier line from the Gulf of Arta to Mount Othrys.
