This edition contains two different albums. The first album includes fifty-one engravings with views of Naples and its wider environs in the mid-nineteenth century. Most of the drawings were made by G.B. Costa, Tommasso Dessonlavy, Silvestro Bossi and Fransesco Santarelli, and were engraved by Pietro Parboni. The second album includes fifty-nine engravings, which, although numbered, are not placed in order and represent monuments of Rome in the mid-nineteenth century. The captions are in Italian and French.
